You will need a baby capsule before you leave the hospital with your newborn. A baby capsule will last from a newborn until your baby is about 4-6 months old. It is recommended if you are moving your child around in one of these portable capsules that you don't leave your baby sleeping in one for more than one hour at a time.

If you are buying a second hand baby capsule ensure it is fully functioning and has not been in an accident. If unsure you can ask your local Plunket office to have a look at it.
