Pram/StrollerThere are numerous prams to choose from. When looking for a pram look for the following features: One that fits the NZ standard – the most common is AS/NZS 2088:2000 The brakes are functioning properly There should be at least two locking devices which prevent the pram from folding, ensure these are working before placing your child in the pram. Easy to fold to fit into the boot of the car. A lightweight pram will be better if you need to use public transport Your child should be restrained by a harness in the pram at all times - five point harnesses are the best. Check that there are no hidden pockets or gaps that your baby can get trapped in. Follow all instructions Be careful using the handles to carry shopping bags, this could cause the pram to tip over. Look for models with large storage baskets underneath or a canopy pocket to carry purchases and baby necessities.
